The Works of Director Xavier Oon.

Xavier Oon is a visually driven Director with a background in Motion Design, Live Action & CGI. Combining architecture, graphic design & 3D, he focuses on creating new inventive forms of moving image for Tech, Ecommerce, Finance, Blockchain, Tourism and Retail industries.

He has directed live action & animated commercials and TV spots for brands such as Microsoft, Marina Bay Sands, Unilever, Dove, Johnson&Johnson, Nike, Bosch, Phillips, Olympus, Konica, Adidas, DBS, OCBC, Standard Chartered, National Geographic, McDonalds, Starhub, Singtel, M1, GIC and creatively directed 7 TV channel branding by leading large 2D/3D Depts and production teams.

Besides formulating Director Treatments and Concepts, he is versatile in operating the camera and post production tools such as After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and workflows for chroma key & VFX pipeline.

Chroma key helps to combine two different shots in the same frame. It replaces all the pixels with the defined green or blue key color with content from other live action material or with digital 2D or 3D content.

Besides being a regular juror for Promax&BDA awards, he regularly gives talks on Motion Design, VFX & Branding at schools & film festivals, sharing knowledge with the future breed of design students.
