Channel News Asia “Metropolis”

Our good friends at Protagonist approached us to support their two-part documentary for Channel News Asia with 3D visualization, motion graphics, and show title design.

We transformed the CAD blueprints of Los Angeles architect Jenny Wu of Oyler-Wu Collaborative into a fully realized 3D environment using Unreal Engine.

The project re-imagines her architectural vision in Singapore through light, texture, and spatial storytelling, transforming technical drawings into a cinematic experience. Every surface, reflection, and shadow was crafted to mirror her intent, capturing both the precision of modern architecture and the atmosphere of a modernist space.

Using Unreal Engine for this project, offers a powerful way to create expansive, lifelike outdoor environments. Its procedural foliage tool allows us to populate entire landscapes with natural variation, trees, grass, flowers, and shrubs.

The Video in 4K

Unreal Engine makes environments feel organic and dynamic, avoiding repetition and giving every scene a sense of realism and depth. Combined with real-time lighting, post process fog simulation, and high-fidelity materials, this tool brings outdoor worlds to life, rich with texture, movement, and atmosphere, all while remaining efficient to update and iterate during production.
