3D Industrial Animation for SMEs.

3D industrial animation helps SMEs explain machinery, processes, and product internals when filming the real thing is impossible or risky. This page covers when 3D pays off for smaller businesses and what a project involves. See also our 3D visualisation guide, medical and industrial animation work, and 3D industrial showreel.

Critica Industrial 3D Showreel

An industrial 3D animation’s objective is to explain the functionality of an industrial product or service in a visually engaging manner.

Recently we completed a 3D industrial animation for Terrenus Energy, a solar farm solutions company based in Singapore.

Below are some images of the 3D industrial project for Terrenus Energy, done by CRITICA, a 3D Animation Studio based in Singapore.

We produced technical and 3D industrial animation to help our clients explain their project overview of Solarland 2 site.

Constructed under the second phase of JTC’s SolarLand programme, SolarLand 2 is a utility-scale
ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) powerplant owned, developed and operated by Terrenus Energy
SL2 Pte Ltd (TESL2). The SolarLand programme was launched in 2019 to supply solar energy to the
national grid via the installation of solar panels on vacant land. The powerplant harnesses energy
from the sun, Singapore’s most available renewable resource, and converts it into electricity.

Singapore faces many obstacles in its transition to clean energy, including the lack of available surfaces for renewable deployment. The project is installed on 116,000 square metres of interim industrial land at Changi Business Park.

FAQ

What is 3D industrial animation?

3D industrial animation visualises machinery, manufacturing processes, product internals, or technical workflows in 3D. SMEs use it for sales, training, and trade shows where access to the real machine is impossible or risky.

Why do SMEs use 3D industrial animation?

It shows what a video camera cannot: cutaway views, slow-motion mechanism breakdowns, exploded part diagrams, and interior workings of sealed equipment. One animation often replaces dozens of slides.

Where do SMEs use 3D industrial animation?

Trade show booths, product pages, sales decks, technical training, investor pitches, distributor enablement, and after-sales support documentation.

How long does a 3D industrial animation take to produce?

Typical piece: 6 to 10 weeks depending on the complexity of CAD data and the number of mechanism steps to animate. Reusing existing CAD speeds the schedule.
